Air New Zealand Baggage Policy

The passengers of Air New Zealand can carry one personal item and one carry-on bag. Your purse, briefcase, or briefcase purse will be considered as the personal item, but the assistive devices and outer garments will not be considered as your personal items. You are supposed to fit your carry-on baggage under the seat in front of you or in the overhead bin. It needs to follow these requirements. As per the Air New Zealand baggage policy, the maximum weight for the carry-on baggage is 7 kg and dimension 118 linear (length + width + height) cm. The members of Star Alliance Gold are allowed three checked baggage of 23 kg each. The weight and dimension are different for the passengers travelling to any international (without a connection in the United States) destination.

  1. Economy Class: One checked baggage of 23 kg combined
  2. Premium Economy Class: Two checked baggage of 23 kg each
  3. Business Class: Three checked baggage of 23 kg each

However, you will be able to carry two bags in Economy Class and three bags in Premium Economy and Business Classes if you are a Star Alliance Gold Member (including Gold Elite and Airpoints Gold).

Air New Zealand Cancellation Policy

Navigate to the official website of Air New Zealand if you are planning to cancel your ticket within 24 hours of booking to at least 168 hours prior to travel. The business class tickets can be cancelled online until the last minute of flight departure. In most cases, the passengers can cancel their Tasman, Pacific and New Zealand Domestic Flexi tickets online. If you are cancelling a ticket, you are supposed to cancel it in full – both the return and outbound flight.
